What is Rotaract?
Rotaract is a service club for anyone aged 18 years or above – working or studying, who want to actively contribute to society. We are committed to charity work for the local and (inter)national common good. Besides this, the Rotaracters are developing themselves by growing their network, following master classes and workshops, organizing events and projects.
Who is Rotaract?
Rotaract is a network of members who are organized in local Rotaract Clubs. The members want to contribute to society, next to their job or study activities. A Rotaracter is ambitious, enthusiast, broad-minded and has an international vision.
Rotaract clubs
Rotaract is a world wide organization with over 176.000 members, distributed within 156 countries. Most large cities in the Netherlands have a Rotaract Club. Rotaract The Netherlands has about 50 clubs and over 500 members. The Rotaract Clubs meet biweekly to discuss the organization of charity projects and socialize.
Rotaract Den Haag – Scheveningen
As the Rotaract Club of The Hague and Scheveningen, we meet biweekly on Tuesday evening in Bar Restaurant Pavlov (at the Spui in The Hague). Besides meetings and doing charity work, we often plan dinner and drinks with the members or visit one of the international Rotaract conferences. One of our popular projects is a yearly beach volleyball tournament for all Rotaract Clubs in the Netherlands that we organize on the beautiful beach of Scheveningen. This event has made over 15.000 euros for local charities. For our own members, the Club Weekend is a yearly highlight.
