Pub Quiz for a Purpose – A Night of Fellowship and Impact

Pub Quiz for a Purpose – A Night of Fellowship and Impact

A few weeks ago, we teamed up with Rotaract The Hague International for a pub quiz at O’Casey’s Irish Pub in The Hague. What started as a simple idea turned into a really nice evening where everything just came together: good people, a good cause, and a great atmosphere.

The evening was also a chance to celebrate World Rotaract Week and International Women’s Day, while at the same time bringing our two clubs closer together. It felt natural. Rotaract is about connection, and this was exactly that.

Of course, there was a serious side to it as well. Through the pub quiz, we raised funds for our project Seeds of Hope in Ghana. This project focuses on giving children in orphanages something more sustainable than short-term support. Think of learning how to grow their own food, developing practical skills like soap making and basic ICT, and building something for themselves and their future. The first phase will support around 45 children at the Tamale Children’s Home.

At the same time, Rotaract The Hague International raised funds for their work around women’s rights and safety, which made the evening even more meaningful.

But beyond the projects, what stood out most was the energy in the room. People coming together after long days, forming teams, laughing over questions, and just enjoying being part of something bigger. That’s the part you don’t always plan, but it’s what stays with you.

This evening reminded us that sometimes impact starts in simple ways, like bringing people together in the right place, at the right time.

Youth Peace Summit 2026 – The Second Edition

Youth Peace Summit 2026 – The Second Edition

After the success of last year’s NATO Youth Peace Summit, we asked ourselves a simple question: why stop here?

From 17 to 19 June 2026, the second edition of the Youth Peace Summit will take place at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. This year, Rotaract Den Haag Scheveningen proudly steps in as an official co-organizer together with multiple partners, continuing the mission to amplify the voice of youth in shaping a more peaceful future.

Behind the scenes, our team has been working tirelessly to build a programme that goes beyond inspiration. The Youth Peace Summit 2026 will bring together young leaders, students, professionals, and policymakers for three days of:

  • Interactive workshops
  • Brainstorm and dialogue sessions
  • Practical skills and know-how
  • Social and networking events
  • Drafting the Youth Peace Charter

The goal is not only to discuss peace, but to make it actionable. This year’s summit will focus on translating ideas into a concrete Youth Peace Charter and exploring the development of a national youth action plan.

The Hague, as the International City of Peace and Justice, provides the perfect setting for meaningful dialogue and lasting connections. Participants will leave not only inspired, but equipped with tools, networks, and real opportunities to create impact in their own communities.

The voice of youth was loud last year. This year, it will be even stronger.
